Old Friends, Good Times and New Babies

Wow, so it's been a while since my last update. I feel like a lot has gone on... so instead of one huge post, I will break it down into a couple of smaller ones.

We'll start with Friday....my best friend from High School, Jennifer was in town with her two boys. She and her family live in Amarillo....so far away!! I know she loves it, but I sure do miss her! Anyway, she was in town at her parents, who still live in Red Oak, so Ava and I hopped in the Tahoe and drove down to visit. Our plan was to leave early so that we would have all day to hang out...but as always, we didn't leave until around 12:30 and then hit crazy traffic. Despite our obstacles of getting down there, we did make it and got to visit with Jen and Miya...another Red Oak alumni, who I've known since we were in like 2nd grade. Miya had her beautiful baby girl, Addison, with her, so she and Ava had a good time! Jen's 3 year old, Anderson, was at a play group, so he didn't get to hang out with us, but we did get to play with her precious new baby boy, Campbell. We went to lunch, had good food and good conversation and before we knew it, it was time to go. Our visit was entirely too short...as they always seem to be. But the awesome thing about our friendship is that we can ALWAYS pick up right where we left off! I love that! Ava and I are going to plan a trip up to Amarillo...hopefully before school starts, and maybe we can convince Miya and Addie to come with!! Not sure why, but we only took 2 pictures. Probably because we were too busy chasing around babies and trying to catch up...
