Go Mean Green

Saturday was Ava's first football game! Of course Team Cardwell was running late, as usual, and on our mad dash out the door, I forgot the camera. So now, we don't have pictures of Ava's first tailgating experience and football game. Oh well, she had fun anyway, and so did we! We met the Hinckleys for some tailgating fun. (Or as SMU calls it, "Boulevarding" ...give me a break!) Not long after we arrived, Teams Palmer and Minchey showed up to make it even more fun. After a couple of hours of tailgating in the Texas heat, we headed into the game, where our little princess was a little angel! She was so good, and actually fell asleep midway through the 3rd quarter. So, not much game watching going on by Ava Grace, but she was still a champ!! UNT put up a good fight, but in the end SMU won. Boooo. Hopefully the next game will have a better outcome.

However...our other football team won....Go Cowboys! We grilled burgers and hot dogs and had the usual suspects over to watch the game. And tonight we cuddled up on the couch to watch Monday Night Football...I do have a cute picture of Aaron and his Mini Me!!
