Labor Day Weekend

Okay, so I'm a little late posting about our weekend, but here it is. I'm just gonna have to double up with 2 posts today.
Aaron was determined to have a relaxed, "do nothing" weekend, and we did...almost. Friday night and all day Saturday we had family time and just hung out around the house. AND... the BEST part...we watched college football!!!! I'm so excited that football season is here again!! I was stuck in the hospital for the better part of last season, and it stunk!! Anyway, Sunday we went to church and then out to lunch at Christina's....I love Christina's. Then, Ava and I went down to Cedar Hill to have dinner with my Grandma BJ... or GeeGee as Ava will call her. My mom and dad met us there, and we had a delicious dinner of steak, potatoes, salad, and and oh so yummy cake. Aaron stayed home and Derek and Kyle came over to make "cornhole" boards. Sounds gross, I know... but it's a game that Jason Degele has introduced to us and gotten everyone hooked on. Thanks, Jason!
Monday was Labor Day and Korbin's 1st birthday party! It was so much fun seeing everyone and watching Korb eat his cake and open his presents. We wore our "It's All About Korb" t-shirts...which were soooo cute!!! There were tons of kids there...and babies everywhere! (Pretty soon I won't be able to call them babies...they're going to be toddlers...ahhh!) The food was delish, the party was great... well done, Palmers! Of course it wouldn't be a weekend without a game of hold 'em, so the usual suspects stuck around and we played a friendly game of poker. Again...I forgot my camera, but I will get some pictures from Jammi so that I can post pics from the birthday party!
All in all, we did have a great weekend, and it was pretty relaxing. I'm not quite sure when we'll get another one of those in the near future....
