15 Months
Wow! I can't believe my little baby girl is already 15 months old! Ava has grown and learned so much these past few months...its unbelievable! She has started walking...which is huge...this is quickly becoming her preferred mode of transportation! And just last weekend she figured out how to stand up all by herself....instead of crawling over to something (or someone) and pulling up, that is! She's added a few new words to her vocabulary...two of her favorites are "kitty" and "light." Sometimes you can't really tell what she's saying, but she sure knows and tries so hard to get you to understand! Ava Grace has also developed a pickiness when it comes to eating. She refuses to eat anything on her plate that's not on mine. Like, if I try to feed her greenbeans and I don't have any on my plate...forget about it! And those gerber graduate meals that were so easy to give her for lunch...not a chance...she won't even open her mouth! I've even tried putting the food on a plate hoping to "trick" her...nope, she's way too smart for that. As long as it's on my plate, she'll try almost anything, but if she doesn't like it, she'll open her mouth and let it fall right out...kinda makes me a little crazy...especially if I've just put a cute outfit on her.
And, just Monday she found her belly button! Actually she saw mine and pointed to it, and I said, "belly button." She looked intrigued...until I showed her that she had a belly button, too. Then she looked amazed...her face was priceless...her eyes got so big and she had the cutest smile...if she could talk, I'm guessing she would have said, "WOW! That's AWESOME!" I so wish I would have had my camera to take a picture of that moment! It was too funny!
Time is flying by so quickly. I can see her learning and discovering new things everyday, and its awesome! I love that I can be home with her everyday, and I love my wonderful husband for making that possible!
Ava had her 15 month check up today and her official stats are in. They are:
Weight: 23 lbs (50%)
Height: 32 inches (95%)
Head: 18.5 inches (90%)
