Tryin to beat the heat...

So there's not a whole lot going on here at casa de cardwell. We've just been hangin out and tryin to stay cool since its been 100 every day. Thursday Ava and I went to the Frisco Athletic Center with my friend Jamie, who I taught kinder with...and it was so much fun!! They have an awesome little water park and a lazy river and a pool for the kiddos. Of course, Ava is too little to enjoy the slides and the lazy river...we tried, but she wasn't so thrilled about sitting in a tube and floating. So the three of us hung out in the kiddie pool and had a blast there! We may just have to get a membership so we can go anytime we want...plus I hear they have really yummy smoothies!! Oh...and its literally right down the street!

And yesterday, we went to Aaron's mom's house for a little family get together and some bbq. It was nice to see everyone... and the food was delish!!! Jacob and Rachel and her sweet family were all there, and Ava got to play with her cousins Brock and Cheyenne. We brought the baby pool, and Brock and Ava played in it for a few minutes, but they had more fun running around the huge yard while their daddies chased them! I, on the other hand, had a full-on allergy attack and sat there sneezing and sniffling the whole time...sorry about that guys!! I seriously sneezed so much that Ava is now pretend-sneezing, and she thinks its hilarious!! That nice little attack lasted through the night and into today. Even benadryl didn't help!! Anyway, the camera only made its debut at the end of our bbq... sneezing doesn't bode well for picture taking...
