Ava's vacation

So, while my mommy and daddy were in North Carolina, I got to hang out with two of my favorite people...Grammy and Poppy! It was awesome getting to spend so much quality time with them...but mostly it was awesome because they spoiled me rotten and pretty much let me get away with everything! Seriously, my mom and dad have way too many rules! I barely had time to miss them with all of the fun I was having! I got to cook with Grammy, and go to the zoo, and to the Dallas Aquarium, and Grammy was even brave enough to take me to her office and introduce me to the people she works with! I was pretty good for the most part, but after we'd been there a while, I got a little more comfortable and decided it would be a good idea to use my LOUD "outside voice." I just wanted to make sure everyone knew I was there...mission accomplished! It got us to the Aquarium faster, that's for sure! Anyway, I had a fantastic week, Grammy and Poppy! Thank you so much for hanging out with me while mommy and daddy were on vacation. I miss you already!!

I was so excited to see Poppy, I had to give him a cheek squeeze! {by the way...this is the last time my hair looked cute all week. Grammy's a little challenged when it comes to fixing hair...just ask my mommy! ;) Its okay, though! I still love you, Grammy!!!!}

speaking of wild life...while we were at the zoo, we met this crazy bird. he really wanted to know what was in my bag.

i got brave, and he let me touch him!

i tried to tell him that he should be over there with all of the other birds...he didn't listen so well.

after all the bird shenanigans, we went to the children's zoo and i got to play...yay!

i also got to go visit Benny. he was at Gee Gee's house getting spoiled rotten, too.

Grammy thought it would be fun to go fan shopping...you can tell by the look on my face how excited i was about that.

I was, however, excited about seeing Granny and Papa!

Papa introduced me to his turtle, Moby.

He wanted me to touch him...i said, "holy moly!!"

alright, he's not so bad... kinda soft and slimy.

As if I wasn't having enough fun, Grammy and Poppy took me to a surprise birthday party for one of their friends. That's me and Poppy, hangin out and havin fun!

...and so is yummy food!

After an awesome week, my mommy and daddy finally came home. I guess I missed them after all! :)

Thank you again, Grammy and Poppy! I had the best time! Mommy and Daddy said thank you, too! You guys rock!!
