Turkey Day
Mr. Cardwell has informed me that I need to stop neglecting the blog. It seems that he is tired of logging on only to find that there is nothing new to read. Sorry, honey, I promise to do better!
So, lets talk about our Turkey Day! We had a good Thanksgiving...lots of driving, but it was definitely worth it. We got up early and drove out to Leonard to have Thanksgiving lunch with Aaron's family. Ava got to see her cousins, Brock and Cheyenne, and they all had so much fun running around Grandma and Grandpa Cardwell's backyard. We had yummy food and enjoyed getting to visit with family.
Oh, and my weather man husband neglected to tell me that it was going to be 72 degrees, so I dressed Ava and myself in sweaters. Lucky for Ava, I brought a change of clothes, so she didn't burn up. I, however, had to sweat it out in my winter attire.
Having a blast playing in the backyard.

This little munchkin has a big birthday coming up in about a week!
The Cardwell Men
After lunch, we took a little drive down to Waxahachie, where my Aunt Sharon and Uncle Troy were hosting Thanksgiving for our family. We ate (again!) and watched the Cowboys beat up on some Seahawks. The food, by the way, was delish! We took family pictures for my mom's Christmas card and then watched Ava ham it up the rest of the evening. She is the center of attention, for sure!
Ava convinced Aunt Sharon to play her favorite game of Ring Around the Rosie...again, and again, and again...
C'mon Aunt Sharon...you can't be tired!
Poppy, I'm wicked thirsty from all of this showing off...can I have some of that water?
ahhh, that's better
Uncle Troy and Granny Sue...watching the one woman circus that is Ava Grace
