Christmas Morning

I can't believe Christmas is over...how did it go by so fast?! Time flies when you're havin' fun I guess! Remember the butterflies you used to get the night before Christmas? It used to take me forever to get to sleep...just the thought of Santa coming and leaving presents and eating the cookies and milk we had left for him...that was so exciting! I haven't felt like that in years...but this year was different. I totally had butterflies on Christmas Eve...no, not because I was excited about Santa {although I do love me some Santa!} but because I couldn't wait to see my little girl's face on Christmas morning! I couldn't wait for her to tear into her presents and get so excited about stuff! And she did not disappoint...she had so much fun, which of course meant we had so much fun!

She ran into the living room and was so excited when she saw the presents under the tree! {I'm sure it had nothing to do with me running ahead of her squealing like a little girl!}

What a great Christmas morning! Of course we know that Christmas isn't really about getting presents, and we definitely told Ava that Christmas is really about the birth of Jesus. Next year she'll understand a little more, and I'm just as excited about that!
