Whole lotta nothing
I haven't posted in a while...but that's only because it feels like there's been a whole lotta nothin going on. I was sick with stomach bug last weekend so we didn't get to go to the UNT game...bummer!! And from what I heard, they finally won, so it was a double bummer that we didn't get to go.
Ava and I also missed out on Alex Nolte's 1st birthday party...which was also a costume party for the kiddos!! What a cute idea!! Alex is my friend Theresa's little girl. Theresa is the art teacher at Riddle where I taught. We were pregnant at the same time, have the same doctor, both had girls, and she was in the hospital having Alex at the same time I was in the hospital for my long stay...so needless to say, we've bonded over the last couple of years, and I ...I mean we... were really excited about going to Alex's birthday party....but, of course I was deathly ill, so we couldn't go. So this last week, Ava and I went up to school to take Theresa the birthday present.
It was so fun seeing everyone again. I saw my old team, some of my former 2nd graders...who are now 4th graders!! And of course I had to go say hi to my kindergartners... who are now big time 1st graders!! It also "quenched my thirst" a little for wanting to go back next year.
Last night, Cara and I got to go have dinner...which of course was a blast! I swear, I haven't laughed that hard in a while!! I had so much fun! We are definitely making this a regular occurrence! I might even be able to talk her into joining our Friday night poker games!!
Oh...and Ava had her 1 year old pictures done today. Of course we went to none other than Terry (http://www.clarinesmith.com/) and I can't wait to see them!!! I'm sure they're awesome, and I will definitely post some pics as soon as I get them! Anyway, so that was our week...I guess we had more going on than it seemed. We had SO much fun with you guys the other night! I haven't laughed that hard in a LONG time!! It was great to see Aaron too. Can't wait to do it again, or hustle you guys in a game of poker...I'm just saying ;)
