Freezing Rain and Football

So we finally did get that cold weather Aaron said we would get....and man, was it cold! Thanksgiving was literally freezing and I think we even had some sleet! Of course none of it stuck, but there was definitely some freezing precipitation! There was also a UNT football game on Saturday and the forecast for that day was 43 and rainy...and I'm pretty sure it didn't even make it to 43! Not in a million years would I voluntarily go sit at a football game in that kind of weather...but, apparently my husband does not share my sentiments. In fact, he thinks that is absolutely fine football watching weather! I may be a wuss when it comes to being cold...but that's just plain nuts! He knew he could count on Greg Hinckley to be as crazy as he was...but Aaron even managed to round up Kyle, his brother Jacob, and Brad Arnold! So those crazy boys layered up and met in the parking lot to Tailgate! I mean seriously...I was half expecting them to come home with pneumonia....but they didn't, thank goodness...and they even made it in to watch the game! Now, I was just impressed that they were there, in the freezing cold rain, supporting the Mean Green....hoping to get win #2!!!! (its so sad, I know.) I mean really... I'm pretty sure we were 6 point underdogs....at home....to a 2A school....seriously, so sad! Anyway, as I was saying, those crazy...I mean dedicated fans not only tailgated, they stayed through the 3rd quarter until finally coming to their senses and going to the Tavern to thaw out!! Definitely impressive! So, was the frost bite worth it? Apparently so...the Mean Green got their 2nd win...by 1 point! Awesome.

It was definitly cold. We stood around in the parking lot for 3 hours around a bucket of fire trying to keep warm. Finally Aaron had the good sense to break out the Whiskey. I'm not sure what happened next, but I do know that I came to my senses at the Tavern with Brad throwing Darts at my head.....good times.
