Happy Birthday Ava Grace

I can't believe its been an entire year since I laid eyes on my little munchkin. We had a tough road getting her here, but it was so worth it, and I would do it all over again in a heartbeat! It's hard to imagine that she's only been with us for 12 months because I feel like I've known her forever. Before I was a mom, I would hear people say that it's hard to remember what life was like before your child was born...and I would think, ya right! But it's so true...I can't and I don't want to!!

Ava Grace One Year Old!

Ava,

I love you so much! Your are my precious baby girl, and you always will be! You came into this world at 4 lbs 5 ounces, 17 1/4 inches long...six weeks early, and we didn't know what to expect. You were such a tiny little thing...but oh so strong! You didn't need help breathing, or keeping your temperature...all you needed to do was grow! And grow you have!!! You are now 20 lbs and so very tall....I'm not sure how tall exactly, but we'll find out tomorrow! Looking at you now, no one would ever know you started out as such a tiny peanut! You are the light of our lives! We thank God everyday for giving us such a wonderful, beautiful, precious baby girl!
You have the best personality and you love to smile and laugh! It melts my heart every time you look at me with those huge blue eyes, say mama and give me that big, nose scrunchy grin! You have a new found independence...although you still love to cuddle in the morning at at bedtime...other than that, you like to be exploring on your own!!!
I love watching you grow and discover new things everyday! You started clapping yesterday, and I was right there to see you do it for the first time!! Your daddy loves you so much, too! He is so good with you ...and you still look exactly like him!! We are both so blessed to get to spend so much time with you! Everyday is better than the one before because you are here. Happy Birthday, Ava Grace! I love you to the moon and back again!
