Team Cardwell: VACATION

We're back from our fun filled vacation to Red River, New Mexico! Thank you to the Palmers and Shoffners for inviting us on your family vacation...we had such a blast!! We got sort of a late start trying to leave town on Friday...Ava didn't sleep a wink on the way to Childress, but thank goodness she figured it out, and on our drive to Red River on Saturday, she definitely caught some much needed zzzz's. And Nicole and Derek got more than their fill of Shrek since that's Ava's favorite movie...actually, she loves all three of them...just as long as Shrek is in it!

Aaron was determined to learn how to snowboard, but after a Sunday morning full of hard falls, he decided to stick to skiing and traded his snowboard for some skis and poles. Ava spent Sunday catching up on her sleep while While Aaron was skiing, so I was kinda stuck in the room all day...but that's okay, cuz I was warm and toasty and may have taken a cat nap or two...I'm just sayin. On Monday, we got to hang out with Jammi, Korb and Nana (Jammi's mom)...we bundled up, got the munchkins in their strollers and hit the town.

Tuesday came too soon and it was time to pack up and leave. After an awesome group picture we hopped in the Tahoes and hit the road. It felt like it took longer to get home, but Nicole and I commandeered the DVD player and got to watch some good movies. We had such a good time, and like every vacation, it came and went all too fast! Maybe next year, we can get Ava up on some skis!!
