Update

We had an appointment with the ENT this morning, and now we are awaiting a phone call to schedule tubes! I'm actually really happy about it. Ava had her hearing checked today, and she is definitely hearing muffled sounds....as if she's under water... because, well, essentially her ears are under water. They've had fluid on them pretty much for a year! Poor sweet baby! This is most likely why her speech is somewhat delayed...but the good news is that she will be hearing clearly within minutes of getting the tubes! Yay! The other good news is that when she gets a cold...hopefully that's all it will be...a cold. We won't have to worry about her getting an ear infection on top of the cold...and if she does, we can treat it with ear drops instead of an oral antibiotic. So there you have it...I'll let you know as soon as we get it scheduled...the sooner the better!!
